To enhance the bilateral trade and investment, Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DBCCI), Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) are jointly organizing a Trade Delegation to the Netherlands on 2nd November 2023. The event was held at Park Inn by Radisson Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The name of the delegation is “Bangladesh Investment B2B (Business to Business) Event in BENELUX-2023”. Mr. Lokman Hossain Miah, Executive Chairman (Senior Secretary} of BIDA was the chief guest in the event where Mr. Sheikh Yusuf Harun, Executive Chairman (Senior Secretary) of BEZA, Mr. Mokammel Hossain, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism and Mr. Maarten Verbruggen, Honorary Consul of the Netherlands, Managing Director of Verbrugen Palletizing Solutions BV and Deltadesh Pvt. Ltd. were the special guest. Mr. Matiur Rahman, Executive Member (Additional Secretary), was the guest of honor. The program will be Supported by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Dhaka.

DBCCI President Mr. Md. Anwar Shawkat Afser focused on the prospect of this trade mission. He said that this delegation will attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) which may be a great opportunity for the European businessmen to invest in the potential sectors in Bangladesh. Also this will be the opportunity to explore & promote Bangladeshi products and services to the BENELUX region also to promote business from BENELUX region to the emerging Bangladesh market.

A high profile Business Delegation from Bangladesh, the Netherlands, and othe European countries took part in an Investment Seminar and Business Networking (B2B) meeting .

Mr. Mohammed Mizanur Rahman Mazumder, Managing Director of Portland International (BD) Ltd. And MM Associates Ltd.sponsored the event. He is the Chairman of the DBCCI Standing Committee, “Trade Fair, Delegation & Event Management”.

DBCCI Board of Directors, prominent business leaders, Delegation participants, government and development organizations and electronic and print media from Bangladesh and the Netherlands as well as European countries were present in the event. The program was followed by lunch.
